Notes

A champion affected by the debuff.

  • Activated damage triggers spell effects, such as Rylai's Crystal Scepter and spell vampirism, and is treated as a single spell target for the purpose of these effects. Does not apply champion-specific effects (such as Flare Brand).
  • The debuff can be removed with Mercury.

Strategy

  • It is best used for starting fights, as it amplifies all subsequent magic damage the target takes. It's worth noting that the damage amplifier would increase magic damage dealt from all sources, not just the owner of Fiery Deathclaw.
  • Fiery Death Claw is a great option on explosive wizards that have the potential to kill enemies in a skill combo, such as Veigar and LeBlanc.
  • Fiery Death Claw It is a better option when more than one member of a team deals mainly magic damage, such as an AP support.

Curiosities

  • When originally added Fiery Death Claw, was too powerful on certain champions and was removed and redesigned in its current iteration.
    • Its previous behavior has now been restored and slightly modified in Liandry's Torment.
  • In patch V1.0.0.61, the object was redeployed with new functionality.
  • Fiery Death Claw, Omen of Randuin, Shurelya's reverie and Youmuu's Ghost Sword were released as a quartet of sister items that share similar characteristics, specifically having an active ability and a gold-generating item in their recipe. [2]
  • Skills that deal higher damage also increase the damage dealt by Fiery Death Claw (for example, Hemophagus of Vladimir).
    • In addition, the weakening of Fiery Death Claw stacks additively with other sources of amplification of damage taken "by percentile (for example, Hemophagus of Vladimir)
    • However, it stacks multiplicatively with all percentile damage dealt amplification sources (for example, Hemophagus of Vladimir), as long as the damage taken was magical.
  • This item was removed in Season Five because while it was originally intended as a way to allow HP Assassins and Explosive Mages to deal with tanks, it was actually used most of the time to completely destroy Squishy Champions without hitting them. the chance to survive, even forcing champions like Ahri to a style of play that was not originally intended for them. As such, Riot removed the Fiery Death Claw to better balance Explosive Mages and HP Assassins.
    • Then they created Luden's Echo to Replace Fiery Death Claw as the reference object for explosive PH.
  • Pentakill's first volume, Smite and Ignite, named its second track after this object.
