Life stealing is an offensive stat that takes a percentage of life from the enemy and transfers it from the physical damage dealt to restored health. A champion's basic attack, abilities that apply on-hit effects, and abilities that modify the next basic attack benefit from lifesteal. [1]
Lifesteal is calculated from the actual damage dealt to an enemy, after reductions made by armor and other forms of damage reduction. Almost every champion has a base lifesteal of 0%. It can be increased with items, runes, masteries, and some champion abilities.
