Visual effect of the object
- Similar to objects energized, the secondary effects of Lifeguard items will stack. Activating Lifeguard Sterak's Gauntlet, Maw of Malmortius o Spectral Dancer will activate both of them Sterak's Fury and Life Grab effects.
Strategy
- This item is useful for Attack Damage-based champions against teams with a lot of magic damage.
- The shield can block an enemy champion's initial damage blast and give the wielder a chance to attack or retreat. It is very useful against AP casters with long cooldowns, such as Morgana and Lux.
- More magic resistance will increase the effective value of the shield, as more magic damage will be needed to destroy it.
- AD Champions who benefit from being low on health (for example Tryndamere, Olaf, Aatrox) can take advantage of it very well. Their low health passives combined with the AD effect of the item and the shield allows them to stay alive longer.
Trivia
- At 30% of total health, when this item's shield is activated, it provides a maximum bonus of 35 AD.
- Maw of Malmortius it owes its name to a well-known community member called "Malmortius" (also responds to "Lord Voldemortius", "Malmorpheus" and "James") for having more than 1000 referrals.
