Use of Skills
- Don't worry about using Electric Shock to kill minions, due to its low cost and low cooldown time.
- Chaining skills in a correct order is the key to using them to the fullest Arcane Mastery. To start you should always use Electric Shock after each ability cast. Advanced combos are based on the use of Arcane Mastery to reduce abilities as quickly as possible.
- Some skill combos include:
- Electric Shock> Desperate Power Desperate Power (While {{ai | Electric Shock | Ryze} is in flight)> {{ai | Electric Shock | Ryze}> Spell Flow> Electric Shock> Runic Prison> Electric Shock (This is the maximum damage achieved with 40% RE)
- Electric Shock> Runic Prison> Electric Shock> Spell Flow> Electric Shock (To harass)
- Electric Shock> Runic Prison> Electric Shock> Spell Flow> {{ai | Electric Shock | Ryze}> Desperate Power Desperate Power (While {{ai | Electric Shock | Ryze} is in flight)> Electric Shock> Runic Prison> Electric Shock (To chase and have Runic Prison as fast as possible)
- Runic Prison does not interrupt channeling abilities without movement, so watch out for enemies like Katarina.
- Runic Prison does not interrupt basic attacks, so watch out for enemies like Twitch.
- There is a bug that allows Ryze to lower his cooldown times, during the lane: While Ryze is about to kill a unit with his Electric Shock, for example, and cast another spell very shortly before the subject's death, for example, another spell can be used as his Spell flow before the impact of Electric Shock so all his cooldown times get down even though the last spell that was cast didn't go into cooldown time. This bug allows you to get your Desperate Power Desperate Power very quickly in order to push the lane, or be able to gank after the lane push. Also, all other skill refresh times are lowered by one second, so Electric Shock is much more spammable.
