    Please note the following:

    • Movement includes previews and flashes (such as Arcane Displacement of Ezreal).
      • For example, while in the air you can use summoner spells except Flash and Teleportation.
    • Skill refers to champion cast spells (by default Q, W, E, and R).
      • Mikael's Crucible cannot be activated when abilities are disabled, as the item is intended to be used on allies.
    • Spells refers to summoner spells.
    • Interrupt refers to whether or not the effect cancels channeled abilities.
      • Contrary to popular belief, Roots and Wraps DO NOT interrupt channeling, with only two exceptions: Teleportation and United of Shen. Roots and Sheaths, however, interrupt abilities that charge (for example Honda Elastic, Vaultbreaker and Piercing Arrow).
    • Mercurial Scimitar removes any crowd control effects that the Mercury Sash also removes.

    Types of crowd control

    In the air

    • The target is unable to control its movement, attack, or cast abilities.
      • The target remains selectable and will be affected by abilities as if they were on the ground (such as Miasma).
      • The duration of the effect depends on how long the target remains in the air. A common mistake whereby a moving target is suspended in the air causes it to be thrown "into orbit." Duration is greatly extended due to increased distance the target falls.
    • Discontinue channeling abilities.
    • Disrupts advancement abilities.
    • Duration is not affected by crowd control reduction.
    • The effect cannot be removed by purification effects, however they can be removed through a combination of a purification effect together with a boost.

    Push

    • The target is thrown into the air in the opposite direction of the launch point.
    • Champions with push: Alistar, Fizz, Gnar, Gragas, Hecarim, Janna, Jayce, Read without, Maokai, Poppy, Quinn, Rammus,  Shyvana, Syndra, Thresh, Tristana, Vayne,  We,  Xin Zhao,  Ziggs

    Knockdown aside

    • Champions with takedown to one side: Daughters, trot, Vi

    Demolition

    • The target is thrown into the air in the same place.

    Bite

    • The target is thrown into the air towards the launch point, and in some cases above it.
    • Champions with grip: Blitzcrank, Darius, Diana Orianna, Nautilus, Singed, Impaling of Skarner, Willpower of Syndra, Thresh, volibear

    Blindness

    • The target will miss their basic attacks, causing the "Miss" message to appear on the target of their attacks.
      • Blindness only mitigates the physical damage portion of an attack, including that dealt from a physical impact effect. Other damage types and effects will not fail. See: Impact effects.
      • Skills that apply on-hit effects will also fail.
      • Blindness is considered a form of damage mitigation. As such, it is applied after the passive of the Cota de Espinas.
    • It does not interrupt the pipes.
    • Duration is affected by crowd control reduction.
    • The effect can be removed by all purification effects (except for the  Mikael's Crucible).
    • Blindness does not affect certain champion abilities (for example, the passive of Riven, Runic Sword.
    • Blinded enemies will only miss if they attack while blinded. Ranged units will hit if the projectile was fired before blindness.
    • Si Vayne is blinded, she can only apply her Silver Projectiles if he does a cartwheel. Normal basic attacks do not apply silver projectiles while she is blinded.
    • Blind Champions: Teemo ,  Quinn

    Envelope

    • The target is unable to control its movement or attack.
      • This includes summoner spells and abilities that move the champion.
      • This does not come from delayed teleportation that you have already started channeling, such as Portal of Twisted Fate. The objective will arrive wrapped, if the duration allows it.
    • Does not interrupt channeling of abilities.
    • Duration is affected by crowd control reduction.
    • The effect can be removed by all purification effects.
    • Wrapped Champions: Amumu

    Forced action

    • The target is unable to control its movement, attack, or cast abilities.
    • Discontinue channeling abilities.
    • Duration is affected by crowd control reduction.
    • The effect can be removed by all purification effects.

    Enchantment

"Enchantment" redirects here. For boots, see Enchanting.
    • The target will try to get closer to the origin throughout the duration.
    • If the target has no view of the source, it will stay put.

    • If the source dies, the effect ends.
    • Champions with Taunt: Shen, Rammus, Gallium

    Change of form

    • The target is unable to attack or cast abilities and is slowed for the duration.
      • This is different from a Blind in that the target cannot attack at all: thus, on-hit effects are never used / wasted.
      • Caprice, when thrown on an enemy, transforms the target into a small creature (reducing its size).
    • Discontinue channeling abilities.
    • Duration is affected by crowd control reduction.
    • The effect can be removed by all purification effects.
    • Shapeshifted Champions: Lulu

      • This includes summoner spells and abilities that move the champion.
