    - Weighs

Veigar is a keen yordle wizard who has embraced powers that few dare even approach. Being a free-spirited inhabitant of Bandle City, he once yearned to learn more about the celestial magic practiced by mortals, but his natural curiosity was twisted by captivity in the Immortal Hold. Veigar is now a stubborn creature with the dark fury of the stars under his command, who is often underestimated by others ... and although he believes himself to be truly evil, some still question his deepest motivations ...

    Little Master of Evil

For most of the inhabitants of Runeterra, yordles do not tend to inspire fear. Their legendary home, Bandle City, is said to be a mysterious and spiritual place, filled with strange trinkets and mementos gathered from across the material realm. While these curious creatures often go off to roam among the mortal races for a time, they usually return with new stories and experiences to recount.

Unfortunately, however, there are other yordles who lose their way. Among them is the sorcerer Veigar.

After the Great Darkin War left the world in ruins, many centuries ago, the only light that seemed to shine on Valoran came from the skies. The scattered survivors gazed skyward, and their renewed study of ancient celestial magic piqued Veigar's interest. Imagining himself as a master of these mystical arts, the Yordle joined an order of wizards in the Noxii territories, hoping to learn more about their craft. They did not think to question the eager newcomer, who showed them how to call hope from the patterns created by the movement of the stars.

However, while many strove to rebuild the world, others sought to conquer it. The ruthless warlord Mordekaiser and his armies spread throughout the lands, enslaving and laying waste to anyone who opposed their rule, and the wizards of the order, who lacked the aptitude for war, were of little value to the tyrant. Stalking them through his cursed armor, his keen eye focused on Veigar, and Mordekaiser recognized the Yordle for what he really was. He captured it with his iron gauntlet and dragged his prey while the other wizards were killed.

A prisoner in the heart of the warlord's new monolithic stronghold, Veigar was forced to use his magic for darker purposes. Knowing that the yordles were more cunning than any other mortal race, Mordekaiser bound Veigar to the physical plane, preventing him from escaping to [Bandle City]]. Not only was he held captive in that hellish place, but that isolation was the worst and cruelest form of torture for a Yordle. Veigar cast sordid incantations against his will: some strengthened their master's dominance, others simply evoked terror to create more terror.

Certainly, terror was what seemed to fuel this hideous empire. Veigar, who felt more miserable than imaginable, became a reluctant witness to Mordekaiser's vile actions that empowered him, bringing him closer to immortality. Perhaps it was as decades or centuries passed, Veigar never knew, but eventually the Yordle's magic and appearance began to twist as a consequence ...

Memories of his past faded. Why had he gone to Valoran? Where did it come from? Had he known another life before this one? Questions like those weighed on his fragile mind, like the last flashes of light that precede an eclipse.

When the warlord's own followers conspired against him, the nightmare that was his reign came to an end, but by that time Veigar was almost unrecognizable. His eyes burned. There was even malicious mockery in his voice. The wretched creature had no interest in the wars of succession that inevitably broke out, so it fled its spellbound cage. Most likely, deep down, he longed to regain the sense of security and freedom that all living things yearn for.

However, he chose not to turn away from evil, but to embrace it. Clad in armor fit for a sinister sorcerer, he vowed to enforce himself in the only way he remembered: through ruthless evil, inspiring fear in all who would challenge him. He would invoke the fury of the stars themselves against his adversaries, trapping them in the timeless infinity between moments.

Still ... Veigar was not as successful as his former captor.

Indeed, up to a point, the good people of Valoran did learn to fear him. Most of the time they found their pastures scorched or the local baron's mansion demolished to its foundations. Although at other times, inexplicably, bands of outlaws were driven from their hiding places in the forest, or the remains of dark wild wolves were scattered in the town square. It was difficult to distinguish whether these acts were malicious or helpful. Despite his aspirations to do evil, it seemed Veigar would always fall short.

Still, the infamous Yordle hasn't given up on his quest to become the world's most evil villain. With his diabolical staff in hand, he only seeks to have everyone kneel before him and revels in the timely disappearance of those who dare to underestimate him.
