Season Nine (2019) is the ninth ranked season in League of Legends. The 2019 season began on November 20, 2018 with its preseason patches 8.23, 8.24, 8.24b. The first patch in this season's patch cycle, 9.1 was released on January 9, 2019. The competitive season began with patch 9.2 on January 24, 2019.
