Un critical hit is a modifier that causes an attack to deal double normal damage. This can be interpreted as an attack that hits harder, a stroke of luck, or a blow to a weak area of the opponent.
Most champions have different basic attack animations for a critical hit; Those without include wizards and champions who weren't meant to deal damage primarily with basic attacks. Some of these champions may make a special sound that is played in place of the animation, often a grunt of effort.
Players can increase the chance of critical hit and damage dealt by critical hits with items, abilities, and runes.
It is applied in basic attacks, in some abilities that act as a basic attack (such as To regret Gangplank y Tempest of Steel Yasuo) and in cases where such an effect is specified (such as Judgment of Garen and Alpha Strike of Maestro Yi).
This stat is valuable to all champions who deal damage primarily with basic attacks, rather than abilities. Some champions, like Ashe, they have a higher affinity for critical hits and benefit even more from the items that grant them.

Probability
Critical Hit Chance is the probability that a champion's basic attack will result in a critical hit. It accumulates additively. Runes, items, and abilities can increase critical strike chance.
When averaged over a large number of basic attacks at base critical damage, critical strike chance is essentially a damage multiplier where each% chance results in an additional 1% damage. In this way, a champion with 50% critical strike chance deals (on average) 150% basic attack damage, not counting additional critical strike damage (see below). For this reason, critical strike chance has good synergy with attack damage, in a similar way to attack speed. The formula for this damage multiplier is given by:
Damage Multiplier = 1 + (Critical Hit Chance * (1 + Bonus Critical Damage))
The maximum critical strike chance that can be reached at level 1 with masteries is 20.25%, excluding skills and items.
The critical strike chance cannot be higher than 100%.
Critical strike chance has a theoretical gold value of 50 gold for every 1% critical strike chance. This means that the Cloak of Agility Cloak of Agility is the most efficient of that stat, providing 15% critical strike chance for 730 gold, with an efficiency of 48.6 gold per% critical strike chance.

Critical Hit Damage o Critical damage refers to the amount of damage a champion's critical strike will deal.
